As you’re probably noticing, we love to share!
One of my most favorite things to do is eat, I admit it, I’m a total foodie! There’s nothing better than sitting down to a nice meal with family and friends!
Where is your go-to place? These are some of ours:
Lupe Tortilla is located at The Rim off of I-10 and also off 281. They have lots of great Mexican food choices, however the best thing, as far as we are concerned, are their fajitas that are ordered by the pound and served family style. The chicken is fabulous, and the beef is super tender. These are served with giant flour tortillas or decadent corn tortillas. Don’t forget the margaritas! Happy hour is every day from 3:00-6:30 PM
Looking for some great Italian fine dining that is one of a kind? Go to Paesanos, with a location at Lincoln Heights, one on 1604 & another downtown on the riverwalk. One of our favorite things from here is the shrimp paesano, which is delicious and addictive! They don’t just serve amazing food here- they also cater and host private events. Happy hour is from 11 am-7 pm Tues.-Sat. And all day Sunday and Monday. They have $5 cocktails, glasses of wine, and $4 draft beers.
Grady’s BBQ is by far one of our favorite BBQ joints in San Antonio. With four locations in San Antonio and one in Converse, there’s sure to be one near you. For over 70 years, Grady’s has been dedicated to providing the best traditional bbq, with Texas homestyle portions & value our customers have grown to expect. Be sure to get the turkey, you won’t be disappointed.
An architectural wonder, Mamacita’s is located off of IH-10. Enjoy their awesome fajitas, (you can get them for one and probably share!) or their other Tex-Mex menu items. They also serve “cowboy favorites” like steaks as well as burgers and seafood.
La Hacienda de los Barrios
This is Jen’s favorite outdoor eating area because they have live music every single day!
Located in North San Antonio, La Hacienda de los Barrios is a family owned restaurant that features recipes from Viola Barrios for nearly 40 years. Definitely try the cheese enchiladas, because they are one of our favorites. And the margaritas are delicious! You can choose from over 15 different kinds! Try their Fajita Nights on Monday and Tuesday where fajitas for two are only $17.95. Hours are Monday-Thursday 11:00 am-10:00 pm, Friday 11:00 am- 11:00 pm, Saturday 9: 00 am- 11:00 pm,
Sunday 9:00 am- 10:00 pm
With two locations in San Antonio, Rosario’s has some of the best Mexican food around. Jen loves the enchiladas suiza- probably one of her favorite meals of all time! Since 1992, Rosario’s has been entertaining the likes of politicians, artists, and the masses, and has been voted by Critics’ Choice “the best Mexican Restaurant to take out of town guests.” While you are here, try the enchiladas suizas! They are fabulous. Hours are Monday-Thursday 11 am- 10 pm, Friday-Saturday 11 am-11 pm. Sunday Closed.
