Our Favorite Brunch Spots
Southerleigh at the Pearl
Not only is the Pearl a wonderful place to explore, but Southerleigh is one of our most favorite brunch places! It is owned by Chef Jeff Balfour from Galveston, Texas. You can sit outside and listen to the entertainment at the Pearl Farmers Market while you sip mimosas and relax. (Or go in the afternoon to export the brews on tap.) You can also bring your four legged friends with you on the patio. Sunday Hours are 10 am – 4 pm.
Ajuua Mexican Grill
Who doesn’t love a great Tex-Mex brunch? Ajuua is centrally located in the city on Huber Road, and offers a great Sunday breakfast/ brunch menu, buffet style! Don’t forget one of their “Perfect Blood Mary’s” or a mimosa where you can pick your own flavor. Brunch hours are 10 am – 3 pm.
Self named “Rebellious American” food, Mash’d does not disappoint with their brunch selections! Try the Mash’d Tater Eggsplosion, and you probably won’t eat for the rest of the day! The French Toast is also delightful, and don’t forget to try their selection of interesting “cures” including the Hillbilly Cousin and the Mimosa Madness. Sunday Brunch Hours are 10:30 am – 3 pm.
Boiler House at the Pearl
Boiler House is another one of our favorites at the Pearl. One of their specialties is the “David Lee Roth” Krispy Kreme burger, which is just what is sounds like. A burger with a fried egg on top in between two donuts! Hard to resist. Brunch hours are Saturday and Sunday 10 am – 3 pm.
Magnolia Pancake Haus
Claiming to have the “World’s Best Buttermilk Pancakes,” Magnolia Pancake Haus is a San Antonio Classic! It has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, and has been serving breakfast for over 15 years. They have two locations, one on Huber and one on Embassy Oaks. Be sure to get there early, this place is a favorite of just about everyone! Daily hours are 7 am – 2 pm.
